John DiBartolomeo has been named to three preseason All-America teams for the upcoming 2011-12 season. The 5-foot-11 Westport, CT native was named by d3hoops.com, the Sporting News and DIII News to the teams for Division III.
DiBartolomeo achieved great success in his first two seasons at Rochester, compiling numerous awards and accolades while also leading the Yellowjackets to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Division III Tournament in 2010-11. Some of the awards DiBartolomeo has achieved include UAA Player of the Year, 1st Team All-UAA, 1st Team All-East Region (d3hoops.com and NABC), NABC 3rd Team All-American and ECAC Upstate NY All-Star. Also after his freshman year, DiBartolomeo was named UAA Rookie of the Year and 2nd Team All-UAA.
In the 2010-11 season DiBartolomeo's numbers included averaging 17.7 PPG, 5.7 APG, 4.6 RPG while also shooting 48% from the floor, 81% from the free throw line and grabbing 35 steals. He also played in 23 games while logging 34 minutes per game.
DiBartolomeo and the rest of the Yellowjackets open up their season on November 18 at home in the Chuck Resler Memorial Tournament against Plattsburg State.
