Defending New York State champion Ithaca College earned a 2-0 victory over the Yellowjackets in Ithaca on Wednesday afternoon.

The Bombers scored both goals in the first half. Natasha Snowden scored with 22:49 left in the opening period. Sarah Gibble doubled the lead with 32 seconds left before the halftime whistle.

Pam Sheffield made five saves in goal for the Yellowjackets.

Rochester split with Ithaca last season. The Yellowjackets won, 1-0, at Fauver Stadium in late October. Ithaca won the rematch, 4-2, in the semifinals of the New York State championships.

Rochester is 7-8 overall.
