The women's soccer team eight-game unbeaten streak came to an end Friday night with a loss at Carnegie Mellon University.
The Tartans won, 3-1, scoring all three goals in the first 23 minutes. Rochester's goal was scored by Emily Urbanczyk at 8:45 when she drove home a free kick. It tied the score at 1-1.
CMU broke the tie through Andrea Maresca at 10:19 and stretched the lead to 3-1 at 23:06.
Adrianne Hulchanski played the first 29:08 for the Yellowjackets and made eight saves. Molly Leitch made eight saves over the last 60:52.
Rochester is 6-2-3 overall, 2-1 in the UAA. CMU is 7-1-3 overall, 1-1-1 in the UAA.
