Nate Micklos scored a hat trick as the Yellowjacket Men's Soccer team continued their undefeated season against Clarkson today, winning 5-0 Saturday afternoon at Fauver Stadium. The 'Jackets, currently ranked #14 in Division III, improved to 5-0, while the Clarkson Golden Knights dropped to 1-4.

The 'Jackets opened with a goal by Michael Springer after he headed in a corner kick by Brian Tuohy, putting UR up 1-0. The 'Jackets ultimately outshot Clarkson 15-1. David Hennessey of Clarkson starred in goal for the Golden Knights, making three saves.

The 'Jackets opened up strongly in the second half, with Nate Micklos putting up the first of his three goals after taking a pass from Matt Sulkin in the 54th minute. He continued on to score two more goals in the next 12 minutes, in the 63rd minute with an assist from Colin Fernie, and the final goal unassisted in the 65th minute from a free kick. Micklos has scored in each game so far, putting up eight goals in five games.

The last of the 'Jacket goals caome from Jeremy Mann after he took on a Clarkson defender one-on-one and made a breakaway after taking a pass from Chris Lee to seal the score at 5-0.

The Yellowjackets hit the road next week to take on Keuka College. They return to Fauver Stadium on September 18 to take on the Statesmen of Hobart College.Game time is 7:30pm.
