DiMatteo Goal Beats Nazareth in OT



Sophomore Mary DiMatteo scored 6:12 into overtime to give the field hockey team a 2-1 victory over Nazareth College at Fauver Stadium.

Heidi Davies set up Krista Butler for the game's opening goal, scored with 19:52 left in the second half.

Nazareth equalized with 14:51 to play on a goal by Erin Howe, assisted by Jocelyn Turkowski.

Rochester outshot the Golden Flyers, 10-6, and held a 15-4 advantage on penalty corners.

Rachel Cahan earned her second collegiate win with three saves - one in the first half, two in the second period. Heather Sautter stopped seven balls for Nazareth.

The Yellowjackets are home on Sunday at 2 pm vs. Utica.
