Junior Nate Micklos (Palatine, IL / William Fremd) powered the Rochester men's soccer team to a 4-0 win over St. John Fisher this afternoon in the final day of play in the Flower City Men's Soccer Classic. The Yellowjackets claimed the title outright with its two wins in the tourney, its first title since the tourney was reinstituted in 2002.

Micklos netted two goals including a pretty, hard shot off a Fisher defender at the 19:09 mark. He added another goal when he knocked in a 15 yarder off a pass from Ben Cross (Thornton, PA / Pittsford-Mendon) at the 52:12 mark.

Rochester kept up the offensive pressure as just six minutes later, freshman Matt Sulkin found Micklos who then fed classmate Gary Stom (Greensburg, PA / Hempfield Area) for a goal which was Stom's first of the year. Freshman Bobby Milenovici (Flushing, NY / Holy Cross) rounded out the scoring with a goal at the 80:20 mark that was assisted by senior Eric Jablonka (Baldwinsville, NY / C.W. Baker).

Rochester's defense made life tough for Fisher all afternoon. The Yellowjackets allowed just two shots on goal and no corner kicks while picking up 19 shots and seven corner kicks. Freshman Jack Burgasser (Rochester, NY / Aquinas Institute) and senior Aaron Bernstein (Beachwood, OH / Beachwood) combined for the shutout.

Rochester improves to 3-0 on the season. The next game is a home tilt at 7pm on Friday against St. Lawrence.
