For the second game in a row, the women's soccer team scored an early goal and went on to victory. This time, it came in the first minute of play and spurred the Yellowjackets to a 4-0 win over SUNY Geneseo.
Emily Urbanczyk scored off a through pass up the middle of the field from Ashley Weagraff with the match just 52 seconds old. It was her third goal of the season.
In the 25th minute, Kelsey Turley made it 2-0, when her shot deflected off a Knights's defender and into the back of the net at 24:18.
Anne McMahon made a crisp pass to Mary Walsh at the edge of the crease early in the second half and Walsh turned it into the net at 53:24 for a 3-0 lead. Laura Morrison completed the scoring at 70:07, driving home a feed from Angela Heaney at the top of the area. Molly Leitch made two saves over 84:34 and Joy Sadaly preserved the shutout with a goalless 5:26.
