Junior Nick Mikolenko set up both goals – one in each half – as the men's soccer team defeated eighth-ranked Hobart College, 2-0, at Edwin Fauver Stadium.

Mikolenko's first half shot was batted down by Hobart goalkeeper Phil DaCosta and Scott Cady was there to touch in the rebound at 39:25.

Early in the second half, Mikolenko chipped the ball into the goalmouth and Patrick Ripp headed home Rochester's second goal at 54:01.

Paco Corbalan made four saves to earn his first shutout of the season. DaCosta made two saves for the Statesmen.

The loss was the first for Hobart after five straight wins to open the season. Rochester is 3-1-1. The Yellowjackets held a slim 13-11 advantage in shots and a 7-4 advantage in corner kicks.
