HENRIETTA, N.Y. - Host RIT scored a goal nine minutes into the second half to snap a 1-1 tie and went on to defeat the women's soccer team, 2-1.
Emily Traversi, who set up the first Tigers' goal, scored the gamewinner at 53:24. She converted a pass from Erica Main.
Ana Kolnik opened the scoring for RIT at 15:10, getting a goal from Traversi's feed. Rochester battled back and found the equalizer at 29:05. Erin Carballo scored with Ali Streeter assisting.
The Yellowjackets are 3-3. RIT improved to 3-3-1. Rochester has played its first six games this season on the road, three against ranked opponents. The Yellowjackets launch their home season on Monday at 7 pm vs. Alfred University.
