Lauren Pendleton scored the only goal of the game to lead Roger Williams to a 1-0 victory over Rochester in the first round of the NCAA tournament.
Pendleton received a pass from Katie Fusaro and drove the ball into the center of the net from the right side of the penalty area at 11:21, for what turned out to be the winning score.
Rochester outshot Roger Williams 33-7, with Laura Bojko leading with six shots. The Yellowjackets also took 14 corner kicks, compared to just two by the Hawks. Rochester was unable to cash in its chances on a rainy day in the second game of a doubleheader.
Jen Garside played all 90 minutes in goal for Roger Williams, making 11 saves. Celeste Hornbach made two saves for Rochester.
Rochester ends the season with a record of 11-6-2. It was Rochester's 16th appearance in the NCAA Tournament and its 26th straight year of post-season play.
