CLEVELAND - Rochester is a co-champion in the University Athletic Association women's soccer race after battling Case Western Reserve to a 0-0 tie through two overtimes on Saturday night.
The Yellowjackets finished 11-3-3 in the regular season, 5-1-1 in the UAA. Rochester and Washington tied for the UAA crown with 16 points apiece. Washington lost, 3-0, to the University of Chicago earlier in the afternoon. Washington earned the Pool A (automatic qualifier) based on its victory over Rochester on October 18. The Yellowjackets now become Pool C candidates for a playoff bid.
Celeste Hornbach made four saves to post the shutout for Rochester. Anna Kennedy had five saves for CWRU. Rochester held an 11-9 edge in shots and a 9-3 advantage in corner kicks.
Case finished at 9-6-3 overall, 3-3-1 in the UAA.
