Brandeis goalkeeper Taylor Bracken made nine saves, two tough ones in the last minute, as the Judges held on for a 1-0 men's soccer victory over Rochester at Edwin Fauver Stadium.

Joe Eisenbies headed a shot off the line taken by Rochester's Jimmy Parrinello in the waning minutes. The Brandeis goal was scored by Luke Teece in the 30th minute.

Brandeis broke a three-match losing streak. The Judges are 7-3-0 overall, 1-1 in the University Athletic Association. Rochester, which lost for the first time this year, is 6-1-4 overall, 0-1-1 in the UAA.

Rochester had opportunities. In the opening minute of the second half, Parrinello chipped the ball from right wing to the left post. It sailed a bit, then hit the juncture of the crossbar and left post, missing the left corner of the net by inches.

The winner from Teece came after Evan Ersing played a hopeful ball upfield. It foudn Teece running with the Rochester defenders. As he collected it, he turned towards goal and saw Rochester goalkeeper Scott Garfing charging off the line to cut down the angle. He slid the ball under Garfing and into the lower right corner of the net.

Rochester had a 20-7 advantage in shots, 12-3 in the second half, and took seven corner kicks to one for Brandeis. Garfing made two saves in 80:44. Mike Moranz played the final 9:16 without needing to make a save.
