Heather Alico scored off a corner kick four minutes into the game and the University of Rochester defeated Nazareth College, 1-0, in women's soccer on a rainy Tuesday afternoon.

Rochester's defense and midfield took over from there. The Yellowjackets controlled the flow of play and held Nazareth to five shots, three on goal.
Bridget Lang made three saves to post her third shutout this season. She stopped a shot from Sarah Clipperly with 17 minutes to play. The Golden Flyers did not get another shot off. Nazareth earned a corner kick with less than three minutes left, but the chance was for naught when Nazareth was whistled for a foul.
Abbie Carey made seven saves in goal for Nazareth. Rochester outshot Nazareth, 12-5, overall. The Yellowjackets are 3-7. Nazareth is 6-3-3. The Golden Flyers are ranked 10
th in the East Region rankings this week.
