FREDONIA, N.Y. - Catie Hale scored with 39 seconds left in the second sudden death overtime as host SUNY Fredonia defeated Rochester, 1-0, in women' s soccer in the Clarion Classic at Fredonia.
Hale's unassisted goal came at 109:21. The Blue Devils outshot Rochester 18-8, 13-7 in shots on goal.
Meaghan Meszaros made seven saves for Fredonia to pick up the shutout win.
Bridget Lang made 12 saves for Rochester. The Yellowjackets are 0-3 and play Geneseo in the second round of the tournament on Saturday.
