The 19th ranked Yellowjackets (5-3, 3-2 UAA) drop their second straight while Emory (13-2, 3-2 UAA) pulls even for 2nd place in the current UAA standings.

Emory got off to a quick start in the first when Melody Carter smacked a 3-run homer to right field off Rochester starter Gabriela Alatorre.  The Eagles would add two more runs in the 2nd behind a 2-RBI single from Alyssa Pollard, boosting the lead out to 5-0.

UR got on the board in the bottom of the 2nd when freshman Julia Liberto doubled to left center, scoring pinch runner Stephanie Brunet who ran Lauren Muni who led off the inning with a walk.

In the third, junior Kayla Kibling kept her hot start to the season going with her first home run of the year, cutting the deficit to 5-2 with her bomb to left center.
