CORTLAND, NY - Rochester posted back to back 3-0 wins in the second day of the SUNY Cortland Red Dragon Invitational to finish at 3-1. The Yellowjackets defeated the U.S. Coast Guard Academy (25-20, 25-11, 25-19), then followed that with a win over SUNY Fredonia (5-8, 25-22, 25-14). 

Meghan Connor was named to the All-Tournament Team for Rochester. In Saturday's wins, she had 14 digs in each match.

Against Coast Guard, Shira Katz had nine kills, three service aces, three blocks, and 10 digs. Clara Martinez had seven kills and three blocks/ Courtney Vidovich had four kills and two blocks. Audrey Goldfarb registered 21 assists. Aimee Kohler had seven assists and four digs.

Rochester dominated at the net in the opening game vs. Fredonia (25-8). For the match, Alexandra Goldman had eight kills, two service aces, and seven blocks. Katz had seven kills and five digs. Kate Korslund had six kills. Vidovich had four aces. Kohler had two assists, 20 assists, and nine digs. Beth Ghyzel had three blocks and Nina Baek had two blocks. Goldfarb had 16 assists.

The Yellowjackets open their Palestra season on Friday evening hosting the UR Volleyball Invitational. Rochester will play St. John Fisher in the 4 pm opener. The Yellowjackets will play SUNY Poly at 8 pm Friday. On Saturday, they play Utica College at 11 am and SUNY Geneseo at 3 pm.
