The Liberty League has announced its weekly award winners and the University of Rochester had two honorees this week.

Junior goalkeeper Kate Kujawa was selected as the Field Hockey Defensive Player of the Week, while Rochester's Novice 8 Boat was selected as the Women's Rowing Novice Boat of the Week.

Kujawa posted two wins on the week, helping #9 UR defeat #14 Hamilton 3-1 on Wednesday and SUNY Geneseo 1-0 on Saturday.  The junior made a career-high 10 saves against the Continentals, facing a total of 16 shots.  She then picked up her 10th solo shutout of the season, setting a new Rochester single-season record in the 1-0 victory against Geneseo.  Although she did not face an official shot, Kujawa made a number of pass breakups to deny the Knights scoring chances.

UR's novice 8 boat finished in a strong 7th of 29 crews at the Head of the Schuylkill Regatta in Philadelphia.  The Yellowjackets finished with a time of 15:47.3 and was the top Division III school in the race.  The closest DIII competitor was Hamilton College in 14th place, over a full minute behind Rochester.  UR's novice 8 boat completed the fall season unbeaten against D3, D2 and Club teams.  The boat was made up of Hannah Glucksman, Shellie Downie, Shirley Zhang, Rachel Anthony, Anna White, Elizabeth Yarnall, Annalie O'Brien, Brianna Best and Pari Sharma.
