Box Score ROCHESTER, NY – Rochester dropped their first home game of the season with a 15-4 loss to St. John Fisher College on Wednesday evening. The game, originally scheduled for Tuesday at St. John Fisher was moved to Towers field due to weather.

Rochester jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the second inning on a sacrifice fly from

Aiden Finch. The Cardinals responded with two runs of their own to take a 2-1 lead in the top of the third before UR responded with a David Reith two-RBI single to go ahead 4-2. St. John Fisher came right back in the top of the fourth with two separate RBI singles to even the game at four all.

It was a tight contest through six innings before a monster two run home run by Scott Eisenmenger broke the 4-4 tie and sprung a seven-run inning to put St. John Fisher ahead 11-4. The Cardinals added two more in the eighth on a Justin Graham triple down the right field line and another two in the top of the ninth to cushion their lead.

Rochester was led on offense by
Drew Bankovich with two hits including one triple. Bankovich drove in two runs for the Yellowjackets. Kyle Trembly was 1-3 with a run scored while
Corey Ziring had one hit for Rochester.

UR used seven different pitchers to get through the contest.
Jack Denzer threw two scoreless innings for Rochester giving up just two hits.

St. John Fisher was led by Graham who was 4-4 on the day with a triple, four RBI and a run scored. Thomas Pasquale was 3-4 with an RBI and two runs scored. Pasquale added two walks as well. Eisenmenger went 2-4 with a home run while Vic Konstantinovsky went 1-2 with two runs batted in and a run scored.

Jared Wren was the winning pitcher for the Cardinals making him 1-0 on the season. Jack Delany went five innings giving up one earned run on three hits and striking out four.

The loss puts Rochester at 0-6 for the year while St. John Fisher improves to 9-7. UR will be back in action this Friday and Saturday as they visit Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute to play double header games both days.
