WALTHAM, MA – New York University posted two close victories in a four-set victory over the University of Rochester in the final game of the University Athletic Association Round Robin #1 at Brandeis University.

The Yellowjackets took the opener, 25-21, but NYU won three straight: 25-15, 25-20, 25-19. The result gives Rochester an overall record of 14-5, 0-3 in the UAA, while NYU is 12-6, 1-2 in the UAA.

Round Robin #2 is scheduled for Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh in two weeks. UR will play Washington, Chicago, Brandeis, and Case Western Reserve. The two-round results will form the seeding for the UAA Championships which will be hosted by Rochester on November 2-3.
