The University of Rochester claimed its ninth victory of the season on Tuesday night with a 13-0 victory over Wells College at Edwin Fauver Stadium in the Prince Athletic Complex.

Eight players scored goals for Rochester. Four players registered assists. Twelve of the goals came in the first half. Rochester improved to 9-5 overall. Wells College is 0-13.

Nikki Mercer scored three goals and added four assists for 10 points. Karine Bridger had four goals for eight points.
Susan Bansbach scored one goal and set up three more. UR goal single goals from

Savannah Schisler registered a defensive save for Rochester. The shared shutout went to
Kate Kujawa (15 minutes played) and
Abigail Walrond (45 minutes). Kujawa played the first quarter, Walrond the last three. In the fourth quarter, Whitney Coleman of Wells got past Walrond and fired a shot on goal. It was stopped by Schisler and cleared. The rebound by Abigail Gilson was off-target. Wells goaltender Sabrina Burns made 11 saves in 60 minutes. Danielle Radivoy had a defensive save.

Mercer's 10 points broke the Rochester single-game record. Bridger's four goals ties her for most goals in a game with four other players, including Hauser who did it earlier this season against Houghton College. Mercer tied the record for assists in a game.

Rochester returns to Liberty League action this weekend. The Yellowjackets play at RPI on Friday, then host Vassar College on Sunday. Wells College plays NEAC rival Keuka College on Saturday at Keuka.
