ST. LOUIS – Rochester struggled to get into a consistent offensive flow on Sunday afternoon and lost to Washington-St. Louis, 65-48, at the WU Field House. The Yellowjackets, who shot 48% from the floor on Friday night in a victory at Chicago, made 19 of 61 floor shots (.311), two of 16 outside the arc (.125),  and eight of 12 at the foul line. Washington's shooting eye was a little better (26-68, .382). The Bears did make eight three-pointers which helped to open up the paint.

UR led very early (6-4) before the shooting touch got rough. WUSTL outscored Rochester, 12-2, to finish the quarter and build a 16-8 lead. The Yellowjackets hit just four of 17 from the field in the first 10 minutes and missed their first six three-point tries. UR did open the second quarter with a 7-2 run (a drive by Okoniewski, a drive by Lindemuth, and a three-pointer from the right arc by Leverone. That cut the deficit to 18-15. Washington used a layup from Arnott, a jumper in the lane by Brooks, a trey left of the key by Jackson, and two free throws from Arnott to open a double-digit lead at 27-17. Rochester's basket in that run was a 17 footer off the right baseline by Okoniewski.

In the third period, Rochester ran off a 7-0 spurt to draw within eight points (43-35). Lindemuth sank a trey from right wing, then drove for a layup. After the basket, a full-court press produced a steal by Leverone. She managed to squeeze home a layup in a crowded lane. Washington called for time.
