GOERGEN ATHLETIC CENTER – Rochester's men won for the third time in the past four matches when the Yellowjackets posted a 6-3 men's tennis victory over Ithaca College on Wednesday afternoon.

The Yellowjackets won two of the three doubles matches, then captured #4 and #3 singles to go in front, 4-1. Ithaca won in three sets at #2 singles to close within 4-2. Rochester's
Pasquale Procaccino defeated Luis Vega, 6-7 (3), 6-3, 7-5 to capture the crucial fifth team point. The win evened UR's record to 4-4. Ithaca, which came into the match with a 6-2 mark is now 6-3.

Krish Vennam, and
Kai Yuminaga, were double winners for the Yellowjackets. Procaccino paired with Vennam to capture Rochester's first point, an 8-2 win at #2 doubles. They defeated Minos Stavarakas and Jacob Wachs. Ithaca evened it, taking an 8-2 win at #3 doubles. Nicolas Luis and Artem Khaaybullin defeated
Adrian Zhang and
Kei Ogawa.
Runjia Fang and Yuminaga gave Rochester a 2-1 lead heading into singles play when they posted an 8-5 win at #1 doubles. Eric Dubilirer and Deon Kraft were the Ithaca pairing.

Yuminaga won his sixth straight singles match, this one a 6-3, 6-2 decision over Kraft at #4 singles. Vennam won a 7-6 (4) tiebreaker for the first set at #3 singles, then won, 6-4 to take the point from Dubilirer. In the #2 singles match, UR's Fang won the first set, 6-3, against Stavarakas. The Bomber evened it at 1-1 in sets with a 7-6 (4) decision, He secured the team point for the visitors, winning set three, 6-4.
