University of Rochester lacrosse will open the 2023 season with a trip across town to Pittsford, NY to face Nazareth College at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 25.

Carly Ritchlin completed her first season with the Yellowjackets in 2022, wrapping up the year with a 5-9 (2-8 Liberty League) record. Ritchlin will be joined on the sidelines by assistant coach
Megan Henderson and three volunteer assistants,
Maggie McKenna,
Angela Paris, and
Ellie Hilling Rothfuss. The squad also has two team managers,
Sam Cathie and
Olivia Ritz.

Upon concluding their first competition against Nazareth, the 'Jackets continue the start of their season on the road, facing St. John Fisher on Wednesday, March 1 at 4:00 p.m.

Later that week, on Saturday, March 4, Rochester lacrosse will load the buses to Stevenson, MD for a 1:00 p.m. battle against Stevenson University.

The following match in Ithaca, NY marks the beginning of Liberty League play for the Yellowjackets, kicking off on March 11 at 1:00 p.m., against Ithaca College.

Next up on March 15, the 'Jackets have their home opener at Fauver Stadium, facing SUNY Brockport at 5:00 p.m.

Back on the road for a pair of games, UofR faces off with St. Lawrence University in Canton, NY on March 18 at 2:00 p.m., followed by Hamilton College on March 21 at 4:00 p.m. in Clinton, NY.

Next on the docket is a weekend of hosting, with Bard College and Vassar College traveling to Fauver Stadium for competitions slated to take place on March 24 at 4:00 p.m. and March 25 at 2:00 p.m.

Rochester Lacrosse then has a slew of away games, first making the trip to Henrietta, NY to play crosstown rival RIT in a mid-week match-up at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 29.

Continuing on the road, the 'Jackets travel to Oneonta, NY on Friday, March 31 to face the Oneonta College Dragons at 4:00 p.m.

UofR makes its way to Geneva, NY for a matchup with William Smith College on Saturday, April 8 at 1:00 p.m. before returning home to Fauver Stadium for a pair of matchups. The 'Jackets host Morrisville State College on Wednesday, April 12 at 4:00 p.m., and Clarkson University on Saturday, April 15 at 2:00 p.m.

The following weekend on Friday, April 21, UR visits Saratoga Springs, NY to face off against Skidmore at 4:00 p.m. And the next day, Saturday, April 22 at 2:00 p.m., Rochester lacrosse wraps up the road portion of their season at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY.

The Yellowjackets will then conclude the regular season on their home turf against Union College on Saturday, April 29 at 2:00 p.m.

Should they reach it, postseason play for Yellowjackets Lacrosse will kick off with the Liberty League Tournament, set for May 2-7, with the NCAA Division III Women's Lacrosse Tournament set to begin the following week.
