Rochester then struck first in the bottom of the frame, as

Madi Turner then got the 'Jackets started in the bottom of the second after a 1-2-3 top of the frame, as UR would bat around in the stanza, putting up six runs on five hits and chasing Misericordia starter Emily Wenner.
Turner led off the inning with a single to center and took second on a wild pitch. A batter later,
Molly Mason walked to bring up
Alexis Klee, who singled to center to load the bases and bring the top of the order to the plate.
Kim followed with another single, plating Turner and Mason to make it a 3-0 UR lead, before Gorecki smashed a two-run double to left center, scoring both Kim and Klee to extend Rochester's lead to 5-0.
Hannah Keiper then launched a two-run blast to left-center, capping off the six-run frame to give the 'Jackets a 7-0 lead after two.
And after another three-up, three-down inning from Broccolo, UR would add two more in the bottom of the third, as the Yellowjackets scored in every inning against Misericordia.
Klee led off the third with a single, stole second and took third on a wild pitch. Up next, Kim walked and stole second as well, one of five combined steals for the duo, before Gorecki drove in another run, this time with a sacrifice fly to center, scoring Klee. Then Keiper followed with another RBI double, scoring Kim to make it a 9-0 Yellowjacket lead.
The Cougars would pick up just their second base runner via a hit-by-pitch in the fourth, but Broccolo got Gianna Foreman to pop out to end the inning and send UR back to the plate.
