Two of the best players in Division III softball graced the diamond on the River Campus this season, as first-year Molly Broccolo and sophomore Ally Kim were both selected as National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Division III All-Americans for the 2023 campaign.
 
Broccolo, a pitcher, and Kim, a shortstop, were picked to the NFCA All-America Third Team and become the sixth and seventh All-Americans in Rochester softball history. The pair are the first softball All-American winners since 2015. This is only the second time in school history that two softball players earned All-America honors in the same year, matching the feat done back in the 2014 season.
 
Rochester's previous All-Americans include Jessica Sorrentino (2008), Beth Ameno (2009), Nina Korn (2014), Tayler Fravel (2014) and Brittany Grage (2015).
 
As a rookie, Broccolo enjoyed one of the finest seasons in the circle in program history, posting a 1.00 ERA and 19-3 record for the Yellowjackets. She appeared in 27 games, making 23 starts while finishing off 17 complete games and seven shutouts. Overall, the Webster, New York native tossed 154.2 innings pitched, allowed 123 hits (.206 opposing average), with 36 runs allowed (22 earned), 27 walks and 80 strikeouts. She only allowed 11 extra base hits, including zero triples and zero home runs.
 
A First-Team All-Region III pick, Broccolo also was First Team All-Liberty League, the Liberty League Tournament's Most Outstanding Performer and a finalist for the Division III Rookie of the Year. This season, she set a Rochester program record for lowest ERA, ranked third in team history in wins and shutouts and finished inside the top-10 in several other single-season categories.
 
Across Division III, Broccolo was ranked nationally in ten different statistical categories during the season, including ranking ninth in ERA, 17th in shutouts, 21st in wins and 48th in WHIP (0.94).
 
Kim was one of three Yellowjackets to start every game in 2023, playing in all 47 contests. She led the team with a .391 batting average, going 61-for-156 at the plate. She finished the year with a 1.046 OPS, adding together a .577 slugging percentage and .469 on-base percentage. She added 60 runs scored, 12 doubles, 7 triples and 1 home run along with 32 RBI. The speedster was 48-for-53 in stolen base attempts and added 18 walks and five hit by pitches during the season.
 
The sophomore was named First Team All-Liberty League for the season straight season and picked up her second straight All-Region award from the NFCA earlier this season. Her 60 runs scored, 7 triples and 48 steals were all new Rochester single-season records and she already is the career stolen base leader on the River Campus after just two seasons.
 
Kim, hailing from Pleasanton, California, saw her name in the Division III national rankings 11 times in 2023. She ranked third in the country in steals, was fourth in runs per game, fifth in stolen bases per game, 45th in triples and 68th in total hits. The sophomore also was nationally ranked in batting average, total bases and on-base percentage.
 
In 2023, the Yellowjackets, led by Broccolo and Kim, finished with a school-record 38 wins, reaching the NCAA Division III Tournament for the tenth time in program history. Rochester claimed the Liberty League title for the third straight year, rallying for four straight wins in the conference tournament after dropping an extra-inning contest in the opening game of the double-elimination bracket.
