ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, NY – University of Rochester women's lacrosse scored 25 goals, tying the single-game program record, on their way to a dominant, 25-6 win over the Bard College Raptors on Saturday afternoon at Ferrari Field.
With their 25-goal performance, the Yellowjackets tied the single-game program record, set last year on April 12, 2023, against SUNY Morrisville. UR's 36 total points also rank as the third-most in a single game in program history, while their 11 assists vs. the Raptors are tied for eighth.
Rochester also won 22 draw controls, tied for the third-most in a game in program history, and scored six of their 25 goals off free-position attempts, tied for the fourth-most in a single contest in UR women's lacrosse history.
15 different 'Jackets found the back of the net, with seven scoring multiple goals, while three tallied multiple assists. Nine different Yellowjackets also picked up two-plus groundballs, while three caused multiple turnovers and seven earned two or more draw controls in the win.
UR got off to a quick start against the Raptors, outscoring Bard 12-2 in the opening period.

Emily Schillinger's assist less than two minutes in, and after a Bard turnover, Schillinger helped the Yellowjackets score again, this time finding
Lorelei King to make it 2-0 just 1:47 in.
Gwendolyn Jamison got the home squad on the scoreboard a little over a minute-and-a-half later, but the Yellowjackets would score four unanswered and the next five goals, opening a 7-1 lead just past the six-minute mark of the first.

Jenna Ufberg,
Gracie Giannettino and Schillinger all got on the scoreboard over a five-minute stretch, before Gorny scored again, this time off a free-position shot to make it 7-1 UR.
Bard would answer with another with 4:17 left in the first, but the 'Jackets answered with another run, scoring five straight to wrap up the first quarter with a 12-2 lead. Gorny added two more of a team-high four goals on the afternoon down the first-quarter stretch, while
Grace Crochiere scored twice as well, and
Zoe Sullivan notched her first to give UR a 12-2 lead after one.
The second quarter proved to be less high-scoring, but Rochester would keep on rolling, outscoring the home side, 6-1 in the frame to take an 18-3 lead at the halftime break.
In total, UR outshot the Raptors, 20-2 in the first quarter and 28-5 in the first half, forcing eight turnovers and picking up 12 groundballs over the first 30 minutes of play.
King got back on the scoreboard to start the second before
Kassi Boehl tallied back-to-back-to-back goals over a five-plus minute stretch to extend UR's lead to 15-2.
Heidi Donovan would add another before Bard got back on the scoreboard before
Sophie Parent and
Jennifer Bekos tallied two more for UR to make it an 18-3 halftime lead.
The Yellowjackets then cruised to victory, outscoring the Raptors, 3-2 in the third and 4-1 in the fourth to finish off the 25-6 win.
Bekos, Parent and Sullivan each added another score in the third, while
Hass Diallo,
Serena Berman and
Regi Merkin got on the scoreboard for the Yellowjackets in the fourth.
With the win, Rochester moves to 6-4 (3-2 LL) on the year, picking up their second-straight conference win after topping Vassar on Friday afternoon, while Bard falls to 1-10 (0-6 LL).
Gorny led Rochester with four goals on a team-high seven shots, while Sullivan added three goals and three assists, matching Schillinger for the team lead. Sullivan also led UR with three groundballs, tied for a team-high with
Talia Feldman, while Sullivan, Parent and
Morgan Napolitano each forced two turnovers.
In the midfield, Crochiere earned four draw controls, with Ufberg and Donovan each tallying three. And in goal, both
Ava Saffren and
Nikki Cassara played 30 minutes, combining for three saves.
Rochester next hosts RIT in another Liberty League contest on Wednesday, April 10 at 4:00 p.m. inside Edwin Fauver Stadium.
