The 2025 University of Rochester men's cross country saw four individuals receive All-Region honors from the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) this season, as announced by the organization this week.

Graduate student James Catania, along with sophomores Joe Berry, Liam Sakakeeny and Zach Terrano were the All-Region honorees for the Yellowjackets this season. Both Catania and Berry are earning their second All-Region awards, with Catania being named back in 2021, while Berry received the honor previously in 2024.

Rochester's runners earned the distinction based on their finishes at last weekend's NCAA Division III Niagara Regional held at Genesee Valley Park, in which the Yellowjackets as a team placed third among 27 competing teams.

Catania was the top-finishing URochester runner, ending 12th in the field with an 8-kilometer time of 25:24.5. Sakakeeny crossed the finish in 14th (25:31.5), while Berry finished 15th in 25:32.9. Terrano also had a terrific race at the regional, running a career-best 26:06.2 to finish 28th overall in the field.

The trio of Catania, Sakakeeny and Berry also earned individual at-large berths into the NCAA Division III Championships, set to take place this coming Saturday in Spartanburg, South Carolina.

In order to qualify for All-Region accolades, individuals must place in the top-35 at their respective NCAA Regional.
