HAMILTON, NY – Junior Rahul Ravi picked up a win at third singles to secure the lone point for the University of Rochester men's tennis team in a 6-1 loss at Division I Colgate University on Sunday afternoon.

Ravi was a 6-4, 6-4 winner over Aidan Lee, picking up his third singles win across four dual matches so far during the spring semester season.

Colgate moves to 4-2 on the season, while Rochester drops back to 2-2 with the loss.

Early in the match on Sunday, the Raiders posted a pair of 6-1 wins at second and third doubles. With the doubles point decided, a tight match at the first doubles spot finished with Alan Wang and Surya Rajamani falling by a narrow 6-4 score against Benito Vlassis and Josh Israel.

In singles, the first Colgate point was earned by Benjamin Graham who defeated Kavin Shukla 6-2, 6-3 at number four in the lineup. Vlassis followed with a 6-3, 6-0 win at number one against Krish Vennam to put Colgate up 3-0.

Ravi earned his point to keep UR alive, but Israel topped Wang 6-3, 7-5 at second singles to secure the clinching fourth total match point.
