Five members of the University of Rochester softball team were selected to the 2025 Liberty League Softball All-Conference Teams, as announced by the conference on Tuesday.

The Yellowjackets finished atop the conference in the regular season and hosted the Liberty League Softball Championship for the first time since 2022, wrapping up the year with a 24-13 (11-3 LL) record. UR's 2025 campaign featured a 10-game win streak midway through the year and a perfect 12-0 record at home during the regular season, while the 'Jackets ranked in the top 30 in the country in home runs and double plays turned.

First Team:
Molly Broccolo (JR, P, Webster, NY/Webster Schroeder) – 3rd All-LL honor (2023 1st TM, 2024 1st TM); For the third-consecutive year, Broccolo was UR's staff ace and one of the top pitchers in both the Liberty League and NCAA Division III. Over a team-high 26 starts and 22 total appearances in the circle, Broccolo compiled a 2.03 ERA and 1.19 WHIP in 120.2 innings pitched, going 14-6 with 79 strikeouts and just 18 walks. While against Liberty League foes, Broccolo was an impressive 5-2 with a 1.60 ERA and .239 batting average against in 48.0 innings pitched. In the circle, Broccolo tossed six complete games, three shutouts, and four combined shutouts, in addition to notching one save. The junior led the Liberty League in starts, ranked second in the Liberty League in wins, appearances and innings pitched, third in ERA, shutouts and walks allowed per seven innings, and fourth in strikeouts and strikeout-to-walk ratio. Additionally, Broccolo also ranked in the top 75 in DIII in games started, walks allowed per seven innings, wins and strikeout-to-walk ratio.

Riley Laygo (SO, UTL, Hacienda Heights, CA/Whittier Christian) – 3rd All-LL honor (2024 POTY, 2024 1st TM); The reigning Liberty League Player of the Year, Laygo turned in an impressive sophomore campaign as one of the most fearsome hitters in the conference. The sophomore led UR in nearly every statistical category, batting .392/.437/.784. Starting all 37 games, Laygo went 49-for-125 with 17 doubles, a triple, 10 home runs, 39 runs scored and 35 RBI, stealing 13 bases in 15 attempts, drawing nine walks and striking out just 14 times. Laygo's 17 doubles led the Liberty League and ranked 18th in DIII, while the Hacienda Heights, CA native's 10 home runs were second in the conference and 33rd in DIII. Laygo also led the Liberty League in runs scored and total bases, and finished second in slugging, third in hits, and fifth in RBI. Laygo's 2025 campaign featured a 17-game hitting streak, the second-longest streak in program history, as well as a team-best 14 multi-hit games and nine multi-RBI games, while the junior turned in an impressive .426/.438/.830 slash line against Liberty League foes.

Bailey Nicholoff (SR, OF/C, Chicago, IL/Northside College Prep) – 3rd All-LL honor (2022 1st TM, 2023 2nd TM); Nicholoff quickly became UR's leadoff hitter and put together a strong, senior campaign as one of the top hitters in the Liberty League. For the season, Nicholoff appeared in 36 games, making 35 starts at catcher and in the outfield, and batted .382 (39-for-102) with 11 doubles, a triple, nine home runs, 33 runs scored and 22 RBI, drawing 16 walks, striking out just eight times and stealing eight bases in 11 tries. Nicholoff also had a team-high .484 on-base percentage and slugged .775, and was UR's top hitter in conference play, slashing .432/.510/.955 with 19 hits, six doubles, a triple, five home runs, 15 runs scored and eight RBI in 44 at-bats. The senior ranked second in the Liberty League in OBP, third in home runs and slugging, fourth in total bases and sixth in runs per game, while ranking top 50 in DIII in both home runs, home runs per game and slugging. Nicholoff had 10 multi-hit games and six multi-RBI performances, and reached base in 13-straight contests from March 12 to April 12.

Second Team:
Julianna Lyons (SO, C/INF, Pittsford, NY/Pittsford Sutherland) – 1st All-LL honor; Lyons was one of just three Yellowjackets to appear and start all 37 games, starting 35 games at third base and two at catcher. The sophomore wrapped up her second season with the 'Jackets, hitting .328/.360/.513 with 39 hits, 10 doubles, four home runs, 17 runs scored and 23 RBI in 119 at-bats. Lyons also drew three walks and three hit-by-pitches while striking out just 14 times, and stole one base. While in conference play, the Pittsford, NY native hit .311/.354/.556 with five doubles, two home runs, nine runs scored and eight RBI. Lyons's 10 doubles and four homers both ranked in the top 10 in the conference, while the sophomore turned in 10 multi-hit games and five multi-RBI performances. Lyons' best performance of the year came in UR's regular-season finale at Union, where the sophomore tied the single-game program record for runs scored with her 4-for-5 performance with two doubles, a home run, five runs scored and five RBI.

Honorable Mention:
Rowan Mulholland (JR, C/OF, Yardley, PA/Pennsbury) – 1st All-LL honor; Mulholland got her first year with the Yellowjackets off to a tremendous start, reaching base in each of UR's first 19 contests to start the year. Overall, the junior hit .345 in 119 at-bats, tallying 41 hits, six doubles, three home runs, 19 runs scored and 22 RBI. One of just three Yellowjackets to start all 37 games, Mulholland saw time at both catcher, outfield and the designated player position, compiling a .402 on-base percentage and a .471 slugging, drawing 12 walks and stealing two bases while striking out just six times. In conference games, Mulholland hit .400/.412/.640, with three doubles and three home runs, including a go-ahead, solo shot at No. 24 Ithaca on April 27. Muhollland finished second on the team with 12 multi-hit games and also had five multi-RBI performances, including a pair of four-RBI games at Hamilton and Union. Against the Garnet Chargers, Mulholland also tied the single-game record for hits, going 5-for-6 with a double, three runs scored and four RBI in UR's 27-2 win.
