For the 25th consecutive year, the University of Rochester men's soccer team was honored by the United Soccer Coaches for its academic efforts, being named to the 2025-26 Team Academic Award.
 
The Yellowjackets combined to have a team grade point average of 3.57 during the academic year, well above the qualification minimum threshold of 3.0 for the entire team.
 
2025-26 is the second straight season under head coach Ben Cross that the Yellowjackets have received the honor, with Cross joining the coaching staff as head coach in 2024.
 
Overall, a total of 799 soccer teams (336 men, 463 women) posted a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher, thereby earning the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for the 2025-26 academic year. Of that total, 187 schools had both their men's and women's programs recognized, including URochester.
 
United Soccer Coaches annually celebrates the academic achievements of teams whose student-athletes collectively demonstrate a commitment to excellence in their studies over a full academic year.
