NORTH CHILI, NY – The University of Rochester men's cross country team secured a 13th place finish out of 18 teams at the Harry F. Anderson Invitational Saturday morning, with six runners competing over the 8-kilometer course.
The Yellowjackets were led by
Will Straub who finished 68th out of 250 runners, Straub crossed the line with a time 27:10.4.
Owen Bernstein finished close behind placing 73rd with a time of 27:17.1.
Also, finishing in the top-100,
John Wiest earned a time of 27:51.6, ranking 92nd overall.
Anthony Cardoso and
Jack Bunaes finished close together, with both runners finishing among the top-5 Rochester runners. Cardoso crossed the line with a time of 28:04.1, placing him 113th, with Buanes right behind him with a time 28:04.4, securing himself 115th.
Jackson Welch rounded out the Yellowjacket runners, finishing 162nd with a time of 29:04.3.
UR's next meet comes next Friday, October 2nd ,where the team will travel to Bethlehem, PA to compete in the Lehigh University Paul Short Run.
