NORTH CHILI, NY - With
Juliana Raigosa leading the charge of the Yellowjackets, the University of Rochester women's cross country program finished 13th out of 18 teams competing at Roberts Wesleyan University's Harry Anderson Invitational.
The freshman Raigosa was URochester's top finisher, taking 49th out of 177 runners with a time of 19:55.9, improving her personal best 5K time in the process.
Miranda Fioravanti finished with a time of 20:17.8, snagging 65th and a new personal best.
Claire McDonald and
Ella Yanni finished within the top-90 for the Yellowjackets as well. With McDonald finishing in 83rd with a time of 20:34.5, Yanni finished in 20:39.3 taking 87th.
The pair of
Kara Goldstein and
Lilly Streicher finished one behind the other. With Goldstein finishing in 20:46.9 and Streicher crossing the line at 20:47.7, taking the 90th and 91st places, respectively.
Ariane Yedidia earned a time of 21:02.7 finishing 105th, ranking as the Yellowjackets final displacer.
Solvieg Wartchow and
Chloe Fietze rounded out the field for Rochester, with Wartchow crossing the line in a time of 21:30.1 finishing 116th. The first-year, Fietze, improved her personal-best to 21:40.3 finishing in 119th.
The Yellowjackets travel to Lehigh University next Friday, October 2nd to compete in the Paul Short Run.
