At UR 2012: Compiled another fantastic season during his senior year, leading the team in 11 categories including games played, starts, runs, home runs, triples, total bases, slugging %, on-base %, walks, hit by pitches and stolen bases...Also, finished in the top five on the team in eight other categories...His stats on the year included hitting .283 (34-120), with 7 doubles, 1 triple, 5 home runs, 22 RBI, 22 walks, 20 stolen bases, an on-base % of .467 and a slugging % of .483...Was hit by a pitch 21 times which ranked him near the NCAA leaders in HBP/game...During the season, had a streak of 29 straight games where he reached base safely...Finished the year being named an honorable mention All-Liberty League member...Was also named to the UAA All-Tournament Team after conference play in Florida was complete...In the Liberty League, Caghan ranked tied for fourth in HR, tied for eighth in OB%, fifth in walks, second in HBP and third in stolen bases.
At UR 2011: Emerged as a star as a junior...Started all 34 games and led the team with three triples...Recorded a .342 batting average, along with scoring 38 runs and recording two home runs, 39 hits and 24 RBI's....His 19 stolen bases ranked third in the UAA.
At UR 2010: Continued to show great improvement as a sophomore....Started all 41 games for the Yellowjackets...Hit for .316 and a team best six home runs...His 39 RBI's ranked second on the team....Also became a feared baserunner, as his 30 stolen bases ranked 14th in Division III....At the UAA Baseball Championships, he led the team with a .444 batting average, and a .778 slugging percentage enroute to helping the Yellowjackets win their second straight UAA Championship....Caghan was named to the All-Tournament Team for his performance....Following the season, he was named to the Second Team All-UAA, and was selected to the 2010 College Baseball All-America Team by the Jewish Sports Review.
At UR 2009: First year varsity player ranked 4th in the UAA in on-base percentage (.472) and stolen bases (22)... Made five appearances as a relief pitcher, striking out three batters in 7.1 innings of work... Selected Honorable Mention All-Liberty League and was named UAA Rookie of the Year.
HS: Attended Jackson HS (Massillon, OH) and earned three letters each in baseball and basketball...Earned All-Conference honors his junior and senior years on the diamond while also was an All-County selection his senior year...Helped lead the Polar Bears to two Federal League titles and one District title.
