Dan Paolini joined the Rochester coaching staff in the fall of 2017 after spending parts of the five years in professional baseball, reaching as high as Triple-A with the Seattle Mariners organization.

He enjoyed an extremely successful career at the collegiate level playing for Siena College where he was a 3-time All-American, also earning MAAC Rookie of the Year honors in 2009 and was MAAC Player of the Year in back-to-back seasons in 2010 and 2011.  He ended his career as the MAAC's all-time home run leader and was ranked 2nd in NCAA Division I in home runs in 2010.

After his college career, Paolini was selected in the 10th round of the 2011 MLB draft by the Seattle Mariners, and started his pro career after that, playing with the Clinton Lumberkings (A), High Desert Mavericks (A), Jackson Generals (AA) and Tacoma Rainiers (AAA).

Paolini has worked at Diamond Pro Baseball in Rochester, NY, primarily working in hitting instruction, also coaching Diamond's U12 team.  He also worked in 2016 at an assistant coach for Hanks Yanks U13/14 team in Connecticut.  Prior to that, he was a hitting instructor for four years at Grind Baseball Facility in Orange, Connecticut.

Following his pro baseball career, Paolini returned to complete his degree at Siena, graduating in 2017 with a Bachelor's degree in History.  He is a native of Stratford, Connecticut.
