Jake Shattuck is entering his eighth year with the Yellowjackets baseball staff in 2024, serving as a volunteer assistant coach.
Previously, Shattuck has worked as Rochester's full-time assistant coach for four seasons. Additionally, he aided in the development of pitcher John Ghyzel who was drafted by the Cincinnati Reds in the 18th round of the 2017 MLB Draft.
He came to the River Campus after playing collegiate baseball at three levels, at Monroe Community College (NJCAA), at RIT (NCAA Division III) and at St. Bonaventure University (NCAA Division I). Shattuck first joined the Rochester staff in the summer of 2016 as a volunteer assistant coach, helping with recruiting efforts and was a catching and hitting coach.
Other coaching experience that Shattuck brings with him includes a stint at the Elite Performance Baseball Academy in East Rochester, NY where he is a 15U and 15/16U Head Coach, Program Catching Instructor and Hitting Instructor. He also has been a certified NYS Baseball Umpire for six years.
Shattuck graduated from Monroe Community College with an Associate's Degree in Business Administration and then went on to receive his Bachelor's Degree from RIT in Business Management in May of 2016.
