Justin Johnson joined the University of Rochester baseball coaching staff for the 2019 season.
During his time on the River Campus, the Yellowjackets have excelled on a conference and national level, winning three Liberty League regular season titles, two conference tournament titles and reaching three NCAA Division III Tournaments. Rochester has had several All-Conference and All-Region players with one All-American during the 2021 season.
Johnson brings with him a wealth of baseball coaching experience, including stints throughout Texas with John Paul II H.S. and Academy Select Baseball in Plano, J3 Elite Baseball Club in Duncanville, Dallas Tigers Baseball Club Inc., in Flower Mound, and Heroes Baseball in Dallas.
He graduated from Paul Quinn College with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration in 2007. While at Paul Quinn, he was a four-year member of the NAIA-Division I baseball program. He was a UNCF Scholarship recipient. Johnson was selected as a 2007 Red River All-Conference member and also earned PQC Player of the Year honors. In 2006, he was the Paul Quinn Defensive Player of the Year.
