Lamberti joins the Rochester field hockey coaching staff in 2016 after a successful career playing the last four seasons for the Yellowjackets.
The Penfield, NY native was named an NFHCA All-American the last two seasons as Rochester's goalkeeper, attaining first team accolades in 2015, becoming the first 1st Team All-American in school history (along with teammate Michelle Relin). Â She also earned North-Atlantic Regional Player of the Year accolades last season and was chosen as Liberty League and ECAC Mid-Atlantic Defensive Player of the Year for the back-to-back seasons in 2014 and 2015. Lamberti was a member on the first two Yellowjacket field hockey teams to reach the NCAA Division III Tournament, making the national quarterfinals in both 2012 and 2015.
For her career, Lamberti had a 35-13 record and 1.21 goals against average in 65 games played. Â She added 349 career saves in over 3500 minutes in goal and was a part of 22 shutouts (13 solo, 9 shared). Â She is UR's all-time leader in shutouts and ranks 3rd in team historyin wins and goals against average.
In the spring of 2016, Lamberti earned the Sylvia Fabricant Award from the Rochester Athletic Department, presented annually to a UR female senior student-athlete who shows tremendous sportsmanship. Â She also was honored by the Rochester Press Radio Club as the Jerry Flynn College Female Athlete of the Year winner. Â In January, she was invited to the Team USA Field Hockey trials and was the only active Division III to be participating.
Lamberti graduated from Rochester with a degree in psychology with minors in Brain & Cognitive Science and Classical Tradition. Â In July, she was selected as the Liberty League's Scholar Athlete of the Year and thus was the conference nominee for the annual NCAA Woman of the Year award.
