Williams enters his first season as an assistant coach with the University of Rochester football program in 2025, working with the linebackers.
Williams joins the Yellowjackets after spending the last year as the assistant special teams coordinator and tight ends and running backs coach with Washington & Jefferson College in Washington, PA.
With Williams as an assistant, W&J went 9-2 (9-1 PAC) and won the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) championship, and earned a first-round bye in the NCAA Division III Football Championship. The Presidents’ coaching staff was named the PAC Coaching Staff of the Year, and Williams coached a trio of All-PAC honorees, including First-Team All-PAC tight end Zach Cernuto.
Prior to joining the Presidents, Williams spent three seasons as a graduate assistant linebackers coach with Alfred University in Alfred, NY. Over three seasons with the Saxons, Williams coached 11 All-Empire 8 honorees, including two-time All-Empire 8 First-Team and D3football.com All-Region Second-Team selection Joe Copp.
Williams earned his bachelor's degree in adolescence education from SUNY Fredonia in Fredonia, NY, and his master’s degree in school counseling from Alfred University.
