Johnson has completed his fourth year with the Yellowjackets in 2018.
In his first two seasons at UR, has coached defensive backs, helping guide R.J. Borgolini to 2nd Team All-Liberty League accolades in 2015.  Shifted focus to coaching quarterbacks in 2017 and led wide receivers and was a co-special teams coordinator in 2018. Coached Noah Shinaman to All-UAA honors this past season, with six different receivers catching passes for over 1,000 yards combined.
Came to Rochester after earning three letters in football at the College at Brockport where he played in the defensive secondary and on special teams.  Graduated from Brockport with Bachelor’s degrees in Physical Education and Kinesiology.
Prior to UR, had been working as varsity football assistant coach at Irondequoit High School where he served as co-offensive coordinator and coached QB’s and DB’s.
