    Men's Basketball Assistant Coach
Allen Bediako begins his second season on the Rochester men’s basketball coaching staff as a volunteer assistant coach for the 2016-17 season.
 
Bediako comes to UR after a four year playing career at Kenyon College in Gambier, OH.  He was a two-time team captain, helping the Lords reach the NCAC conference playoffs each season.  Bediako was elected team captain for his junior and senior years.
 
While at Kenyon, Bediako was one of the best shot blockers in school history.  He currently ranks 3rd in career blocks and blocks per game with 123 and 1.2 BPG respectively.  Bediako ranks 1st in Kenyon history in single-season blocks (53) and blocks per game (2.2), both coming in the 2005-06 season.  He also has three of the top-5 single game block performances for the Lords, swatting a school record eight shots against Allegheny on January 28th, 2006.
 
Bediako graduated from Kenyon with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and is currently pursuing his MBA at Rochester’s Simon Business School.  Upon graduating from Kenyon, he worked for the last five years as a research assistant and analyst at management, technology and policy consulting firm ICF International in Fairfax, VA.
