Ryan is well-versed in the success and tradition of the men’s basketball team since he played here over a four-year period before moving into the coaching ranks.  He just completed his third year on the sidelines as an assistant for the Yellowjackets.

Mee played in four consecutive NCAA tournaments, including two Final Fours (2002, 2005). That string of NCAA appearances included the 2005 national championship game. His class was the first one to win 20 or more games in every season and the first to compete in the NCAAs in every year. He is ranked in the top 10 in career three-point field goals made at Rochester. He captained the Yellowjackets in his senior year.

He earned his baccalaureate degree in economics in 2005. He spent one year as an assistant coach at Hilbert College (2005-06), then moved to Elmira College as an assistant coach for two seasons (2006-08). He was an assistant coach at Skidmore College in 2008-09.

At Skidmore, he assisted in all aspects of coaching, from recruiting coordinator to practice planning, to scouting preparation. He served as assistant varsity coach and head junior varsity coach at Elmira. He earned a master’s degree in education from Elmira in 2008 with a certification in coaching.
