    Volunteer Cross Country/Track & Field Assistant Coach
A three-time All-Region honoree and two-time NCAA qualifier, recent graduate Catherine Knox joins the Yellowjacket Cross Country teams as a Volunteer Assistant Coach during the 2016 season.  Knox graduated from the University of Rochester in May 2016, and will continue her studies at Rochester while working toward a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering during 2016-17.

Knox was a standout on the cross country and track & field programs over her career, earning a multitude of accolades for her athletic and academic achievements at Rochester.  A 2nd Team All-UAA honoree in Cross Country in both 2014 and 2015, Knox was also an individual qualifier to the NCAA Cross Country Championships in 2014, and as a senior she helped lead the Yellowjackets to a team berth and 14th-place finish at the 2015 NCAA Championships.

The Worcester, Massachusetts native has also been an accomplished distance runner with the track & field program.  She won a NYSCTC title in the 3,000 meters during the 2016 indoor season, and went on to qualify for the 2016 NCAA Outdoor Championships in the 3,000 Steeplechase, where she finished 16th.  Knox also set new Rochester records in the Steeplechase (10:57.20) and the 5,000 meters (17:11.47) during her senior year.  She was also one of ten Rochester seniors honored as a Garnish Scholar in 2015, and has earned multiple All-Academic honors from the USTFCCCA in both cross country and track & field.
