George W. VanderZwaag joins the Rochester golf coaching staff as a volunteer assistant for the 2020-21 season.
A former golfer with the Yellowjackets, VanderZwaag was a 2-year captain and participated at the NCAA Division III Championships during the 2014 season.
He earned three All-Conference honors during his time on the River Campus, twice being named 2nd Team All-Liberty League, adding one All-UAA honorable mention award. In 2015, VanderZwaag was selected to the GCAA/PING All-Northeast Region team.
Academically, VanderZwaag excelled, earning three straight All-Academic Team awards from both the Liberty League and UAA. In addtion, he was named a GCAA All-America Scholar in 2016.
He graduated from Rochester in 2016 with dual degrees in Economics and Psychology.
After graduation, VanderZwaag has worked with Aldi Inc. as a District Manager in the Tully, New York Division.
