Tom Webb joins the Yellowjackets rowing program as an assistant coach in the fall of 2021.
Prior to joining UR, Webb’s rowing experience includes working as the Adult Rowing Program Director and Boathouse manager at Oklahoma Riversport in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
In addition, Webb was the rowing director and founder of the NCAA Division III men’s and women’s programs at St. John Fisher College, a post he held for five years from 2011-2016. While with the Cardinals, Webb served on the Liberty League Coaches Committee.
Webb also worked with Pittsford Crew Inc. as head coach for two years before becoming a coaching consultant. He also was an athletics intern and men’s rowing coach at Skidmore and served as faculty advisor with the SUNY Geneseo rowing club.
He has spent time on the New York State Collegiate Rowing Coaches Committee and New York NCAA Regional Advisory Committee.
Webb attended the University of Wisconsin – Madison and earned a Bachelor’s degree in 2007, majoring in Philosophy. He also competed on the Division I rowing program with the Badgers, earning 3rd place at the EARC Sprints League Championship in 2003 and 5th at the IRA National Championship the same season.
