Ikeda joins the University of Rochester men's soccer coaching staff as a volunteer coach for the 2019 season.
He returns to the River Campus after completing a stellar four-year career on the pitch for the Yellowjackets. Ikeda, a team captain for the UR squad which reached its first ever Division III Final Four in 2018, was selected as a United Soccer Coaches and D3soccer.com Division III 1st Team All-American as a senior. He also earned multiple All-Region and All-UAA accolades during his career in UR colors.
Ikeda also excelled off the field, earning his Bachelor's degree from Rochester in Electrical and Computer Engineering in 2018. He was named a CoSIDA 3rd Team Academic All-American in 2018 and was chosen as a United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-American for two straight seasons.
He finished his career with 75 games played, 72 of which were starts, tallying 14 goals, 16 assists and 44 points. Ikeda also scored seven game-winning goals and accumulated over 4,800 minutes of playing time.
