Matt Klosner enters his first season on the sidelines for the UR Men’s Soccer coaching staff. As the goalkeeper coach, Matt will work primarily with the goalkeepers during both team and individual training sessions, and will be responsible for the development of a talented and deep group in 2012.
After his graduation from RIT, where he was a four year team member for the Tigers, Matt spent a year on the staff at his alma mater in 2006.
Klosner has also been an integral part of the goalkeeper coaching staff with Empire United Soccer Academy for the past five years. He has recently been named the club’s Goalkeeping Academy Assistant Director, and for the last two seasons Coach Klosner has been the goalkeeper coach for Empire United’s prestigious Development Academy teams.
Matt currently works as a manufacturing engineer with Harris RF Communications and lives in Penfield with wife, Sarah.
