At UR 2012: Was one of the top goalies in the country, helping UR to a 10-win season and a berth in the NCAA Division III Tournament...Finished his senior season making 17 starts and earned a 9-4-4 record with 57 saves, 13 goals allowed and seven shutouts...Ranked 34th in NCAA Division III in Goals Against Average at .724...Finished UR career with 21-9-9 record, 0.64 GAA and 17 solo shutouts...This season, made the game-winning shootout save in Rochester's first round NCAA Tournament win over Misericordia University...Was named 2nd team All-UAA following the season.
At UR 2011: The junior was UR's number one goalkeeper in 2011, which saw Garfing start 13 of the teams 16 games...Ended with an 8-4-1 record and had seven shutouts...Only allowed nine goals on the season while recording 44 saves and compiling a 0.67 GAA...Earned the shutout win over NYU Oct. 8 thus ending the Violets 10-game conference unbeaten streak.
At UR 2010: Translated the expirence he had gained from veteran players into results on the field, as he started 10 games for the Yellowjackets...He recorded 20 saves, at a .833 save percentage...Also recorded three shutouts, while posting an 4-1-4 record.
At UR 2009: Gained valuable expirence by training and working everyday with senior GK's Mike Peacock and Brandon Campbell.
HS: Played for Newark Academy, captained the team senior year...Started on both Newark Academy's Non-Public B state championship team in 2007 and earned 1st Team All-Conference honors...Team captain as a senior...Reached state finals in 2008 and earned 1st Team All-Prep honors.
