Brad Thyroff joined the Rochester tennis coaching staff as a volunteer assistant coach in 2017-18 season and is in his seventh season with the program in 2023-24.
A former hitting partner with some of the top tennis players in the world, Thyroff has an extensive tennis background. He worked for three years as hitting partner with Venus and Serena Williams and another year with then world #2 Jana Novotna.
Thyroff also achieved his own ranking on the ATP World Tour in both singles and doubles during the late 1990's.
He founded the Rochester Tennis Hall of Fame in 2014 and currently works as a tennis instructor at Mendon Racquet Club. Thyroff also is employed at the Flaum Management Company.
While in high school, Thyroff attended Pittsford Mendon and played five years of varsity tennis, being a two-time High School Academic and Tennis All-American in 1991 and 1992. He also won the Rochester District Singles Championship in 1995.
