DiTucci joined the Rochester coaching staff in mid-summer, 2010. She earned four letters in softball (2003-06 seasons) at Central Michigan University, an NCAA Division 1 Institution participating in the Mid-American Conference. DiTucci started 185 of her 188 career games played, and most of the time she was CMU’s leadoff hitter and second baseman. She ended her career with 61 stolen bases, which ranks sixth in Chippewa history. As a junior, DiTucci hit a career-best .264 with 19 stolen bases. She graduated in May 2007 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education.

DiTucci spent the 2007 season as a student assistant at CMU. She moved into the full-time assistant position for the 2008 and 2009 season where she worked primarily with the hitters, outfielders and infielders, along with off campus recruiting.

A native of Morton Grove, Ill., DiTucci prepped at Niles West High School. She was a four-time all-conference pick while also earning all-area and team MVP honors. Karen earned varsity letters in softball (four), basketball (four) and cross country (four).
