UNIVERSITY OF ROCHESTER YELLOWJACKETS
Allison Spaschak

Allison Spaschak

Spaschak enters her second season on the Yellowjacket women's basketball coaching staff in 2023-24.

Following her first season with UR, Spaschak was named to the WBCA Thirty Under 30 list, recognizing rising women's basketball coaches across the country.

Spaschak joined the Yellowjackets in 2022 after coaching for two seasons at Randolph-Macon College and two seasons at SUNY Brockport, aiding two former Rochester assistant coaches in Lindsey Burke (Randolph-Macon) and Corinne Jones (SUNY Brockport).

While at Randolph-Macon, Spaschak helped the Yellow Jackets to a 20-7 record and regular season ODAC title in 2021-22. She took a leadership role in recruiting, designing a series of videos and other media projects to highlight the program. She ran all team social media. On the court, she planned and led individual workouts for all players. During her time in Ashland, Randolph-Macon had three women's players earn All-ODAC honors.

During her time at Brockport, the Golden Eagles were back-to-back SUNYAC Tournament qualifiers in 2019 and 2020. In addition to her on-court coaching tasks, she presented the majority of the scouting reports, oversaw all team social media accounts, and was a site supervisor for home athletic events.

As a Division III player at Ithaca College, Spaschak helped the Bombers compete in the NCAA tournament in 2015, 2017, and 2018. Ithaca reached the second round in each of those years and was the 2017 Empire 8 women's basketball team champion. Spaschak was a three-year member of the Ithaca College Student Athlete Advisory Committee. She participated in a four-year Ithaca College Leadership Academy. In her senior year, she was an assistant in Ithaca's Sports Information Office where she assisted with social media, statistics, and video during games. She was chosen to attend the Division I Final Four and took part in the So You Want To Be A Coach program for prospective women's collegiate basketball coaches.

She graduated from Ithaca College in May, 2018 with a degree in Sport Media and a double minor in Sport Psychology & Coaching. Spaschak earned her master's degree in Athletic Administration from Brockport in July, 2020.
